Whether to Deactivate or Disable Submission Types

If you've found that you no longer have need of a submission type, but there have been submissions made using it*, you have two options to prevent the submission type from being scheduled for future requirements or submission uploads:
  • Disabled for new submissions
    • Prevents this submission type from being scheduled for future requirements or submission uploads.
    • When searching in Epicenter, this submission type will still display in submission type lists.
  • Deactivated
    • Prevents this submission type from being scheduled for future requirements or submission uploads.
    • When searching within Epicenter, this submission type will NOT display by default in submission type lists. You will have to select the "Display Deactivated" checkbox in order to search for submissions of this type.
To set a submission type to one of these options:
  1. Click Administration from the home page.
  2. Click the Submission Types link.
  3. Click on the submission type you want to disable/deactivate.
  4. Click .
  5. Scroll to the bottom and check the option you want.
  6. Click  .

*If there have been no submissions or requirements scheduled for the submission type, you will have the  option.
